National Oil Corporation commends the decision of the Attorney General to issue arrest warrants for suspected fuel smugglers.

NOC commends the Attorney General’s decision to issue arrest warrants for more than 144 smugglers in the western region of Libya.The Foundation affirms its full and continuous support to the Office of the Attorney-General in efforts to protect the rights of the Libyan people against the actions of criminals and thieves.

The smuggling cost the Libyan economy and the citizens of our country hundreds of millions, and those who participate in such serious criminal acts are working against the interests of all Libyans and cause suffering in the various cities of our beloved country.The Board also confirms that the Foundation continues to provide periodic reports and information on smuggling operations by criminal gangs to the Office of the Attorney General.

On this occasion, the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation expresses its appreciation to the officials, prosecutors and investigators in the Office of the Attorney General, headed by Mr. Siddiq al-Sour, head of the investigations department, for their extraordinary efforts in bringing criminals to justice.The National Oil Corporation (NOC) is looking to arrest those who committed crimes against the Libyan people and waste their wealth, headed by Ibrahim Jadran and all those who colluded with him for supporting and inciting the closure of oil ports.These arrest warrants are a success at the local and international level and assure everyone that the men of Libya will be rebuilt to become a modern country that respects the law and enjoys prosperity, God willing.
